'Crescent Moon Fire' in Poway

This project was for a client in Poway who wanted a new patio, overhead patio cover, firepit, retaining walls, and a Zen-type area, all in a modern style.

We used a beautiful gray-tone paver from Belgard Pavers with a matching modern-looking retaining-wall block. 2' square steppers were strategically placed coming off the new main patio and meandering into a firepit seating area with a built-in wood bench. New synthetic turf was used for very low maintenance, along with low-water plantings such as purple sage, lion's tail, snake plant, 'Alphonse Karr' bamboo, and echeverias. Around the corner is a DG rock Zen area for meditation or quiet open seating, with a possibility for a future house expansion. A couple of fruit trees were included along the West fence, plus a staircase up the wall for access.
